But something was different about this time...your mother had caught him hitting you. So they were screaming back and forth...until you heard your mothers scream of, "GET THE HELL OUT OF MY HOUSE!!!" You then heard the door slam, scaring you, making you cry harder. You jumped up from the corner of your bedroom, and ran downstairs, where your mother sat, crying. She looked at you, and stood. "This is all your fault!" she said, coming closer to you, "You and that stupid little boyfriend of yours." "No," you said, "It's not Billy's fau-" But she cut you off, slapping you hard across the cheek. Your head turned to the side from the force, and you gingerly touched your cheek. Her sharp finger nail had cut a long, thin stripe across your cheek. It had slowly started to bleed, and when you looked at your finger, you could see the red liquid. Your mother gasped, and stepped back, as your eyes began to fill with tears. "Rouge," she said, her voice shaky, "I'm so sorry...Rouge?" You looked at her, and said, "I hate you," before running out the front door. It was a dark, snowy evening, and you suddenly found yourself freezing. You ran to the only place you could...Billy. Just last night he had excitidly told you about their band, Good Charlotte, and how they might be getting a record deal. You were so happy for him, and yet...it would mean that he had to leave. Now, after what had just happened, you knew that, if he leaved, you would have nothing. You pounded on his house door, not realizing that it was 12:45pm. Billy and his mom answered the door, and just looked at you. Billy's eyes rested on you, and then slid to the cut on your cheek. "Rouge?" he said, slowly walking out to you, "What happened?" You shook your head, as if telling him not to pry into your life...not tonight. He nodded, and let you in, his mother watching his every move. She closed the door behind you, and Billy led you to the couch. You were freezing, and he could tell. "Mom," he said, holding you closer to him, "Can you get some blankets?" She nodded, and gingerly went to get some blankets. Billy gently rubbed your back, and kissed your forehead. He knew what Matt did to you...but didn't know that it was your mom who had hit you this time. His mother returned, with a heavy blanket. Billy grabbed it, and wrapped you up in it, still holding you. "Billy?" his mother said. "Oh, right," he said, "Mom, this is my girlfriend, Rouge. Rouge, this is my mom." "Hello," she said, "It's nice to meet you. I've heard so many good things about you from Billy." "Hi," you whispered, finding it hard to talk through your tears. She smiled, and walked out the room...saying to Billy before she left, "She is a pretty one." You looked around the room, and saw that you were in a fairly large living room. It had a fire place, that was already lit, a couch, two chairs, and a coffee table. You couldn't help but like it here, though it did remind you of your house. It had taken you a half-an-hour to reach Billy's house, since he lived four blocks away from you. He still held you, and asked, "What happened?" You didn't answer, but let a few stray tears fall from your eyes. "She hit me," you said after a while. "Who?" he asked, looking at you. "My mom," you whispered, causing the tears to fall freely, and hard. He hugged you tighter, and you layed your head on his shoulder. He made you feel so safe, as if no one could harm you. And something told you that he would protect you. He rubbed your back, as if to comfort you. "It'll be okay, Rouge," he said, "Shhh...I'm here now. Nothing can happen to you...I won't let anything happen to you." You sat up, and looked at him. "You wanna stay here for the night?" he asked, softly, brushing your hair. You nodded, and he picked you up bridal style. He carried you into his bedroom, and layed you on the bed. Going back to close the door, he flicked on the light switch. You looked around the room, and nearly smiled. It was painted a dark smoke, almost black, and had many posters on the wall. (Of bands like Orgy, Lit, Incubus, Green Day, KoRn, and Linkin Park)He looked at you, and walked over to a drawer. Pulling out two things, he came back over to you. "Here," he said, handing you a pair of clean boxers, and an old Ramones T-shirt. You nodded, and he left the room to let you change. You threw your clothes to a corner, and layed down in his bed. Billy came back in, and turned off the light. Closing the door, he came over to the bed, and slipped in beside you. He wrapped his arms around you, and you rested your head in the nook of his shoulder, facing him. "Thanks, Billy," you said. He smiled, and brushed your hair. "Hey, Rouge?" he said. "Yeah?" you asked. "If I told you I'm falling for you, would you laugh?" You heart seemed to stop, and you held your breath. "Of course not," you said. He nodded, and then said, "I think I'm falling for you, Rouge." You looked up at him, and into his eyes. "Really?" you asked. He nodded his head, and then kissed you. You smiled, and layed your head on his chest. Hearing his heart beating, you slowly fell asleep.

aniwez todae was the first day of school. okae that sounds like i just came back from 1 whole long vacation break. but actually it was onli 2 pathetic weeks. if u can even call that hols. (okae i m bored online. no ash. i noe, ash, u will now gloat and say u are such a wonderful friend. u dumb girl. new comp. old comp. everything also spoil.) so aniwez what happened todae... first block was malay. some crap bahas thing again. and obviously i din get pick to bahas. cos i can't speak malay for nuts. then was maths. okae spend whole lesson crapping about maths assignment 4. which i a lot stupidly never do. then was english. oh see that skinny red-headed stick again. then was physics prac. ok that even more revolting. don't want to talk about it. she somehow has that subtle way to get on my nerves and spoil my day. if only our teach. was mr Ho bubblegum. hehe. then finally and finally was the last block. geog. something about some globalissation crap. can't remember. (okae i wonder how can i remember everything that billy says but nothing that my teachers say?)

then finally it was back to my wonderful home and my mtv. hehe. watched crashing with good charlotte for the uptenth time but i don't care. i still love it. anything that has billy in it. i still love it. so the band were like staying over in some person's house called the dobsons. then benji was helping the mama dobson with the cooking. Here's what the conversation was like ( i noe it's kinda boring and weird that i memorise every word GC said on mtv but i don't care): "Benj: So, do the kids help u out in the kitchen? I noe i use to help my mum. cos if u help mum, u get to lick the spoon. hehe." Benji(again): "So, looking at us, do u think like we're different from other kids?" Billy was in the kitchen then with benji standing in front of the dobsons fridge. it's in my pic somewhere below.) then Mrs dobson said "looking at u...no...i mean..." she obviuosly thinks good charlotte is all bad and drug-addicts with all the tatoos just like my mum. then benji said "Good cos, i thought we might freak u out or something." then billy remained quiet all this while. so sad. it's like he feels guilty that he freaked mrs dobson out with all his tatoos.

then out in the backyard, billy started talking. Billy:" Okae we'll start with the bread then w'lll put the s'mores within the bread." (billy explaining what he was going to eat. isn't that co cute???????? billy billy billy. so cuteeeeeeeeee.) then there was this 1 scene when Joelsaid: "Billy, how' ll long do u think u will last in survivor? Like what, 5 mins? haha." Billy: " idon't know. but i noe i'll be the first to get voted out." billy said with that silly little grin on his adorable pale face.

then the band had to go to this job at the food-processing factory where the oldest Dobson girl worked. the conversation went: Benji: "So, what's up with this job, mann? why did u choose it?" Did someone ask u to get this job?" the guys were all cutting huge green peppers with that Dobson girl who was wearing a stupid looking shower cap for hygiene prurposes (which billy was obviously too embarraseed to be caught dead wearing it on national tv. so he put up the hood of his sweatshirt instead.haha) Girl: " I learn how to cut vegetables here." Benji started snorting and said
"What!? I like learn that in 5 minutes." then billy who happens to look very cute cutting huge green peppers with his hood on (can't u just picture that?????? lucky green pepper. if i were a vegtable, i want to be that green pepper billy was holding.haha) so Billy said: "U have to find something like u're really interested in doing, u noe. U got to step it up a bit." (what he means was- go someplace else and not work cuting up vegetables with old aunties all her life.) see billy is so caring. unlike benji who just said " Yeah, this job suck ass."

morning woke up felt guilty. supposed to do rs todae but ...sighz. so opened todae's newspaper, then saw big ugly picture of simple plan and the whole boring article on today's so-called punk music. it's boring because they mentioned Good Charlotte only once. how great. and simple plan's picture was bigger than anything else. what crap is that. then under the Good Charlotte description, they wrote wrong stuff. i mean this is newspaper mann. it's supposed to be reliable and writing the correct stuff. for the band's drummer, they wrote some guy called Aaron but it's not. it's Chris Wilson, that bald guy in the pic below. and he rocks. that aaron guy suxs. just because chris couldn't make it to mtv asia aid concert and some other guy replaced him as drummer, he is STILL the REAl gc drummer. anyway then they wrote Billy's name as just (Billy). in brackets some more. like he's some unimportant person. couldn't they have at least writen Billy Martin. then under the albums, they wrote one of the albums was "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous and Anthem". those are the singles, not albums. GC's albums were Good Charlotte, The Young and The Hopeless, The Chronicles of LIfe and Death.
so this morning, i have concluded that newspapers are crap.

BILLY MARTIN INTERVIEW!!!
Guitarist Billy Martin--who is joined in the band by twins Joel (vocals) and Benji Madden (guitars), Paul Thomas (bass) and Chris Wilson (drums)--designed the artwork for his band's latest album, "The Chronicles of Life and Death," as well as the set for the group's tour. He said it's all in a day's work.
"It's good in the end, because you feel really proud," Martin said. "You know if it got messed up, it's no one's fault but your own because you got to do it all yourself. When I was deciding to do the artwork for the record, I thought it would be cool. I'll do a couple drawings, play around on the computer for a little bit and it will be done."
Instead, it took Martin two-and-a-half months of sleepless nights. (awww. so poor thing.i'll always be there for you, billy!!!)
"I was drawing all day long, staying up until 5 in the morning and having to change it because the record label said it's too expensive to print on this kind of paper. There's all these other factors I never really thought of. It's a lot of work but it's still fun."
Martin talked with liveDaily.com about Good Charlotte's artistic endeavors, "The Chronicles of Life and Death" and touring.
liveDaily.com: I recently saw the premiere of your new video "I Just Wanna Live." It is a clever way of poking fun of your own lives and the microscope you live under.
Billy Martin: Our parents keep telling us they see it and they say, "We don't get it." Man, I hope everyone gets it. It's supposed to be funny.
Who came up with the concept for the video?
We've come up with every video idea so far. Most of the time we wait for treatments to come in from directors. We get a bunch of them, and no one ever seems to come up anything we like. At the last minute, say, we have to make a video next week and we've just got to come up with something. [The "I Just Wanna Live" video] was really spur of the moment. We had a whole lot of different ideas ready for the video. We'd have a meeting with a director. He left, went home and wrote the treatment. Two hours later, we were like, "You know what? That idea sucks. We have to do something funnier." Benji goes, "What about if we just dress up in stupid costumes? People can't not laugh at costumes." We were like, "OK." At first, we were just going to do animals, like a pink bunny, or a big teddy bear--then the idea of food came out. "Let's do food." We just wanted something that would be dumb funny. It couldn't be smart funny.
Good Charlotte seems to alternate between funny and serious videos.
I guess it's kind of important. I know, personally, I like really serious videos. At the same time, we don't like to take ourselves too seriously so it's kind of fun to do both things.
During your tour, your stage set was strikingly gothic.
We've been wanting to do something for a long time, but all we ever had before were backdrops. This time, we really wanted to go for it. Phoenix was missing half the pieces because the stage was too small. Phoenix was a real small version of it. Normally, we have 14-foot dragons and gargoyles on either side of the stage, but those couldn't fit. It happened a lot on this tour. We went really big with everything. When we were building it, they were like, "It might not fit." Of course, I was being stubborn (and saying), "Oh it's fine. They have to be big. Don't worry about it. Make it big."
It sounds like you guys have a creative hand in everything.
It's really important. Before I was ever a musician, I thought I would be an animator, or a comic book artist. I'm really into the visual aspects of the band--the album artwork, the merchandise, the stage set up, the videos. I just think it's cooler. If someone else does it, what's the point? They're not in the band. Obviously, we know better than everyone else because it's our band. It's fun. It's the only thing we got so we might as well be as involved as we can.
It must be really gratifying.
For the next record, I don't know. I just didn't expect it. It's very hard when you're an artist, if someone says, "No, no. Try it this way." It's like, "What are you talking about? It's my drawing. You didn't draw it." I have to learn to take constructive criticism more. It's kind of hard, because I'm outside of it as the artist and I'm inside of it because it's my band. I feel like with another band it would be different because I don't really care how it comes out as long as the band's happy. But when it's my band, then I have to play both sides of the fence ... that's hard.
What is the songwriting process with Good Charlotte?
Benji and Joel write all the lyrics. They're the ones who sing them. Most of the time, they write stuff on an acoustic guitar, and during band practice we see if we like the song, then we would work on it. With this record, I wrote some stuff for the first time. I've got a recording rig at my house, so I just demo a bunch of ideas. I like a lot darker stuff than everybody else. I was always a little timid to play my songs. There were a couple things that I really thought could be Good Charlotte songs. I brought my views in, and everybody was into it. It opened a lot of doors. I'm pretty excited to see what the next record will be like, after how comfortable everybody got in the studio this time.
What songs did you write?
Parts of "Ghost of You" and "Mountain."
This album is really a departure for you, especially with the rap- and funk-influenced "I Just Wanna Live."
I think it's kind of weird if you look at the music [the members of Good Charlotte] listen to, each one of us listens to something really different. There's a lot of bands that we all agree on. But it's definitely not the easiest thing to do when you're working together to make a record to really find a way to take five ideas and actually make it make sense. For this record, we just took each song one at a time. "This song has a hip-hop feel, so let's really give it a hip-hop feel." "This song has an '80s feel, so let's really push this one in an '80s direction." This record, it's really diverse. Everybody really tried to put in their influences. You wouldn't expect to put those influences together, but we did it anyway. Benji and Joel, as singers, are going to sing catchy, melodic stuff no matter what. If we put together some weird, artsy, dark song, it's probably going to be an artsy Good Charlotte song, just because of the kind of melodies that they write. It's pretty easy.
Who are some of the influences on this record?
For me, I was really into Depeche Mode and The Cure. I've always been into '80s music a lot, even though I was born in 1981. I was barely around for it. I kind of know the '80s well. A little before the record, I got bored with a lot of bands. There wasn't anything I was into, so I bought a lot of older records. I really got into Depeche Mode, so I started practicing keyboard and piano, and really wanted to try keyboard on the record. Another band is Muse. Everybody really likes Muse. We would listen to Muse on the way to the studio. I've really been into The Faint a lot lately.

todae was fun. the jtc trip was okae. quite boring actually. nothing but industrially and fuelly stuff. but the metal check thing that we all had to go pass was fun. hehe. then the police thought ash's ipod was a camera. i still don't get why we can't take pictures on jurong island though. quite crappy. then after the jtc thing, ash and azi and me went to eat at lido. then i dragged them to Bishan with me. hehe(retribution for that day when u ask us to follow u go buy ur ipod socks that cost $54, ash!). then we went to see billy-inspired stuff. nothing special actually, just shag bands and that wristband-don't know what thing that everyone wears now. i got everything black. obviously. then i found that black neck band that billy always wears and never takes off. i think he even bathes with it. OH SO HOT!!!!!! if u really pay close attention to every picture i have posted, u will see that in every picture, he wears that neckband. he is NEVER seen without it. it's like his trademark or sumthing. that and huge earrings. he is SO FREAKING HOT!!!!!!!!! I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!!!! everyone at school still think he is ugly and weird and bad just because he has tatooos and wears black stuff around his eyes. but they don't know that deep inside my billy is sweet, sensitive and caring and a vegetarian. i would give up anything just to see him in real life even for 1 second!!!!!! i adore u billy!!!!! PLEASE GODDAMN IT COME TO SINGAPORE!!!!!!! and not SP. SP sucks. they're copying good charlotte especially that DAvid guy who wears eyeliner. BUT THEY STILL SUCK!!

so todae i decided to actualli finally write a reaaaalli long blog entry. Um.. let's see what happened today? oh yah, i basically slacked and watched tv the whole day. i feel like a total couch potatoe. so aniwaz i watched some good charlotte showon MTV. My heart just melted at the sight of Billy again!!!!!!!he's so cute even with purple hair. and then, as i was watching billys' every move, my mother came along and said who's that, then i said that's good charlotte and isn't that one so cute? my mom was like ee so bapuk! needless to say i was annnoyed lah! okae so maybe billy was sitting like a girl and he does kinda look like a girl sometimes, HE IS STILL GORGEOUS AND HOT!I DON"T CARE!!!!okae so back to that show. gc was answering some questions their fans sned them. Benji asnwered the first one somthing nonsense i forgot oh yah i remembered!"what do u guys do outside of GC"and then billy said "we all like to go watch movies"(oh so cute:)) and then benji said "Yep good one billy" then they played "the Anthem" video. i like that song and the video has a kind of American high school vibe to it but too bad there's so little of billy there. then Paul started tallking and then i couldn't be bothered to remember what he said and then they played the "hold on " vidz. i looooove that song. so sweet and sentimental. and then there was this one scene for like 1/2 a second that showed billy' face close up. oh my god. i felt like crying. it was so sad and billy was so thin and pitiful in that scene. i wanted to huuuuug him and comfort him!i wanted the scene to last forever but sadly it lasted for 1/2 a second.crap. ok so then it was billy' turn to talk. ohmygawd his voice so sweeeet and calming and so lovely!!!!!! so the quuestion he anwered was "how many girlfriends do u guys have and do u guys have any celeb girlfriends"then billy with his adorable face said "Um i'd say 700" then he turn the mic to joel who started blabbing about all his girlfriends "VJs, DJs and radio personalities" then i was like shut up and give the mic back to billy! so then billy finally took the mic and said"At this point, Joel has along list(of girlfriens)" then he said "good question THIs 's next one's from Mabel from Singapore" and then when billy said singapore, my heart literally stopped. means he must know that this pathetic tiny dot of a country does EXIST!whic may mean that GC may come to Singapore. may only , i'm not suggesting anything to all hopeful GC fans i know(actualli that's only YAni and me hehe) the question from that mabel girl was "IF u could be someone else who would u be and why?" then billy with his gorgeous face and little cheeknones appeared when he actually finally smiled and said "Paul from good charlotte"(aww so sweet!) "cos he's one of my best frineds and he's packed 'n' heavy"or something i din quite catch that phrase. and then benji butted in and said "Iget Billy! Iget BIlly!" then billy was like "good Why?" then Benji said really softly and mischieveously ( iccouldn't quite catch it) "cos he's talented and he's the most beautiful..." at that point Billy quickly pulled the mic away, smiling and embarrassed. beautiful, get it? guys aren't suppose to be beautiful. then he changed the subject and said"let's play the video Predictable cos it's kinda artsy video for us. Okay, i designed the set for that video"(oh so talented) billy's reallly into the gothic inspired arty stuff and evrything. he's favourite director is Tim burton asu all shld noe is a very talented director who directed so many gothic flicks like NIghtmare before Christmas and Edward scissorshands(which starred winona ryder and johnny depp). and so aniwae the last one to talk was joel. actually joel's kinda cut etoo sometimes. but he's not special like billy. BILLY IS ONE AND ONLY BILLY! i will nvr betray my love to billy evn if gc died or something. okae so well back to the show. joel anwered this question"who do u think is the best performer/artist today?" then joel said "Gwen Stefani. cos she' hot, talenetd, hip , well-spoken, well travelled" and blah blah then he stopped and din noe what else to say abou her and then he did this really awkward thing and cleared his throat loudly. and then he finally said" i think she's the hottest female rightnow" sighz who cares abot gwen stefani or what rubbish. and then benji said "Green Day" and joel said "that's for the male category" and then poor billy who has been quiet all this while was like "hey, what about MArilyn Manson? He's talented and a great performer.." and joel cut in and said"he's dark." obviously joel doesn't like mm that much. then joel started crapping"there are many good performers and artist out there. i don't know... like Joel Madden from Good Charlotte. He's good" at which point billy was trying to stop laughing. then joel continued crapping "I think Good Charlotte as a band is good too." then benj was trying not to laugh also. joel craps a lot anyone who knows GC knows that joel is the no.1 crapper then benj,his twin. billy's the seirious and gothic one. then they played the i just wanna live vidz which joel matter- of -factly said "cos, it's the best video ever made. that's why i chose it." then benji answered the last question which was "could u tell us (the fans) how the next album is going to be like that?" then Benji who writes most of the Gc songs said "i guess a step up from the last album. heavier and at the same time, lighter? i guess we're all growing as a band." then billy, sitting behind benji started becoming bored and zoning out. i started staring at his NBC tatoos so SEXY!!!!!!!! his fingers also happen to be perfect. it's so long and white and bony. it's like BIlly was meant to be a gothic character out of some scary book. so, aniway the show ended with the lifestyles vidz. i like benji's hair in that video so cool.
